I’m a Jesus-loving wife, mom of three, and lifelong animal rescuer—currently living my dream life on Freeloader Farm, where the animals are spoiled rotten and contribute absolutely nothing (just the way I like it). I’ve always had a heart for people and a deep love for feeding them, whether it was teaching high school culinary classes, running a restaurant, or just sharing a laugh and a meal. Wichita Falls is my hometown, and there’s nothing I love more than building community, one warm waffle and genuine connection at a time. I believe in showing up with a smile, a little bit of quirk, and making sure everyone feels like they belong.

The heart behind Chicka D’s is simple: serve up great drinks, warm waffles, and create a safe space where people—especially young women—can grow, learn, and feel seen. I was raised by a strong woman and a man who taught me it was okay to take up space in a world that often asks women to be smaller, quieter, and more agreeable. That foundation gave me the confidence to lead by example—and now, I’m proud to work alongside a whole gaggle of chicks who aren’t afraid to hitch up heavy trailers and do the hard things. Whether it’s offering job training, life skills, or just a daily dose of encouragement at the window, my goal is to show women they’re capable, valuable, and worthy of success. My business was born from my culinary background and a deep desire to keep teaching—but on my own terms. After 15 years of teaching Culinary Arts across Texas, building programs, and helping students earn college credit, I found myself exhausted by the limitations of the traditional classroom. I knew I still wanted to educate and inspire, especially women, and this business gave me the chance to do that in a way that felt joyful and free. Chicka D’s put my skills on wheels and let me pour into others in a whole new way.
